[Problem] To provide a tire valve which is capable of suppressing the rotation of a tire pressure detection device with respect to a valve mounting hole more than in the prior art and a tire valve mounting structure. [Solution] This tire valve comprises: a tire valve body which has a side surface covered with a cylindrical elastic member, and is pressed into a valve mounting hole in a tire rim; and a tire pressure detection device which is fixed to one end of the tire valve body. The center of gravity of the tire valve is located on the opposite side from the tire pressure detection device, with the press-fitted portion of the tire valve body held in the valve mounting hole, and is displaced laterally from the central axis of the tire valve body. The tire valve also has a rotation restriction portion which is disposed on the opposite side from the tire pressure detection device, with the press-fitted portion of the cylindrical elastic member being held, and which is disposed on the opposite side of the central axis of the tire valve body from the center of gravity. The rotation restriction portion faces, from the inner side, the cylindrical wall of the tire rim which is fitted to the tire. When pressed against the cylindrical wall by centrifugal force, the rotation restriction portion abuts the cylindrical wall face-to-face or at two points or more.
