Abstract:
In a pneumatic tire (10) of the present invention, a body section (41) and a folded-back section (42) of a carcass (40) are partially constituted by a plurality of plies (41a), plies (41b), plies (42a), and plies (42b). The pneumatic tire (10) comprises: a flipper (70) that is folded back over a bead core (61) from the inside in a tire width direction to the outside in the tire width direction so as to cover the bead core (61) and a bead filler (62); and an insert (80) that is provided between the bead filler (62) and the flipper (70) which is folded back to the outside in the tire width direction. In at least some parts of the region in which the insert (80) is provided, a thickness (D1) and a thickness (D2) of a side rubber (31) are approximately equal to a ply thickness which is the combined thickness of the body section (41) and the folded-back section (42).
