Abstract:
Provided is a tire comprising reinforcing layers 6a, 6b composed of a reinforcing material and vulcanized rubber covering the reinforcing material, wherein: the vulcanized rubber is composed of a rubber composition containing N-cyclohexyl-2-benzothiazolylsulfenamide; the reinforcing material includes a steel cord surface coated with a ternary plating of copper, zinc, and iron; the reinforcing layers 6a, 6b are disposed radially inward of the tread surface of the tire; and the ratio (a/b) of a modulus (a) at 50% elongation of the vulcanized rubber covering the reinforcing material in a tire-width-direction central portion 6C of the reinforcing layers 6a and 6b, and a modulus (b) at 50% elongation of the vulcanized rubber covering the reinforcing material at the tire-width-direction end portions 6E of the reinforcing layers 6a and 6b, is 0.94-1.06. The tire has a high modulus and exceptional producibility.
