Abstract:
This titanium base material has a base material main body which is formed of titanium or a titanium alloy; and a magneli phase titanium oxide film which is formed of a magneli phase titanium oxide represented by chemical formula TinO2n-1 (4 ≤ n ≤ 10) is formed on the surface of the base material main body. It is preferable that the magneli phase titanium oxide film contains at least one or both of Ti4O7 and Ti5O9.
