Abstract:

A toe angle measuring instrument (10), comprising a measurement unit (18) having a seating table (46) seating the hub (16) of a vehicle (14) on a seating stand (48) and movable in the lateral direction of the vehicle and in a rotating direction in plan view relative to a second base member (36), a measured member (70) having a vertical measurement surface (68) extending from the seating table (46) to the outside, and non-contact distance sensors (62a, 62b) installed oppositely to the measurement surface (68) with reference to the second base member (36) and measuring distances (x₁) and (x₂) up to the measurement surface (68) from two positions apart a distance (y₁) from each other. The measurement surface (68) is set to face in a direction forming an acute angle β relative to the lateral direction of the vehicle.
