Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a toner binder used in a toner having an excellent grindability, image strength, heat-resistant storage stability, charging stability, gloss, and durability, while maintaining low-temperature fixability and hot offset resistance. This toner binder contains an amorphous resin (A) and a crystalline vinyl resin (B), and is characterized in that: the weight ratio [(A)/(B)] between (A) and (B) is 81/19 to 97/3; the peak top temperature (Tm) of the crystalline vinyl resin (B)-derived endothermic peak of the toner binder is 40-100°C; the half width of the crystalline vinyl resin (B)-derived endothermic peak is 6°C or below; the acid value of the crystalline vinyl resin (B) is 60 mgKOH/g or below; and relationship (1) is satisfied. Relationship (1): 3°C ≤ Tfb(A) - Tfb(C) ≤ 30°C
