Abstract:
Provided is a toner which is inhibited from causing fogging and has excellent intermittent-use durability and which has satisfactory conformability to toner conveyance and is hence excellent in terms of front-edge evenness in solid printing. The toner for electrostatic-image development comprises: colored resin particles comprising a binder resin, a colorant, and a release agent; and an external additive. The toner is characterized in that when a disk-shaped pellet having a diameter of 55 mm obtained by pressing 4 g of the toner for electrostatic-image development at 9 MPa for 1 minute is examined using as a contact part a stainless-steel ball having a diameter of 3 mm, the coefficient of static friction is 0.220-0.320, the coefficient of dynamic friction is 0.190-0.270, and the difference obtained by subtracting the coefficient of dynamic friction from the coefficient of static friction is 0.010-0.090.
