Abstract:
The tongs for gripping round bodies with fold seams, i.e. spark plug sockets, is characterized by a semi-cylindrical support body (12) which matches the shape of the round body and can be supported on the outer surface of the round body between the fold seams with a cylinder surface (14). Said support body can also be supported on the fold seams radially adjacent to the cylinder surface (14) with support edges(16). Two locking pins (20) are also provided, which can be moved in front of the support edges (16) in a direction parallel to said pins at a distance (A) to the support edges in the gripping position and which can be moved away from the support edges (16) in the release position.
