A tool for putting-on/taking-off/replacing a straight tube fluorescent lamp having a basic body consisting of a handle pole of a long straight pipe, and an oblong rail frame of a square tube for receiving the glass tube of a fluorescent lamp over the orthogonal direction on the upper side of the handle pole is provided with a chuck for grasping or releasing the glass tube of a fluorescent lamp with a pair of clamping pawls facing each other from the opposite sides of the rail frame in the width direction, a movable frame which can extend outward from one tube end of the rail frame, and a pusher which can receive the vicinity of the base of a fluorescent lamp under noncontact state and abut against the front side of a socket case as the movable frame extends. Operation mechanism of the movable frame is arranged in the tube of the handle pole from the inside of the tube of the rail frame, the operation lever for grip operation and the operation mechanism of the movable frame are connected by a traction string arranged in the tube of the handle pole, extension length of the movable frame corresponds to the length of one terminal pin of the fluorescent lamp and the length of the rail frame including the pusher is set shorter by the length of one terminal pin of the fluorescent lamp.
