Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a tool replacing device that, when trouble occurs during a replacement operation for a cutting tool holder of a machine tool, and a replacement arm stops, enables rapid inspection of and recovery from the stopping of the replacement arm. [Solution] A tool replacing device which is provided to a machine tool and has a replacement arm 5 that performs a replacement operation involving a first tool 2 of a cutting tool holder 1 and a second tool 4 of a replacement tool holding part 3, wherein when an anomaly is detected during the replacement operation involving the first tool 2 and the second tool 4, the replacement arm 5 is returned to a state prior to the detection of the anomaly by performing, in reverse order, the tool replacement operation performed up to the stoppage.
