Title:
TOOL FOR ROUNDING OFF CORNERS OF FRETS
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2012/169574
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The most well-known files, which have convex pits, file up to the top of frets. There is a danger of spoiling the effect of surface finishing, and there is also a danger of not functioning correctly because the height of the frets changes. In addition, the angle created by a tool in this operation is various because the operation is carried out by holding the file in the hand. Because the size of the abrasive surface is selected as necessary and suitable each time, a set with a variety of sizes of files must be prepared. Therefore, this tool addresses these problems as follows. 1. The upper part does not abrade, and the effects of surface finishing are safeguarded and respected. 2. The tool is held standing by two side surfaces on the fretboard, and normally has the same angle (the axis not being rotated during use and the centerline not wavering). 3. One model can be used on all types of frets. 4. All frets are formed into the same fine shape that is symmetrical left and right.
