Abstract:
Provided is a technology for more efficiently loading and unloading tools into/from a set-up apparatus. The present invention provides a tool set-up apparatus for exchanging tools with a transport apparatus that transports tools to a tool storage part shared by a plurality of machine tools, said tool set-up apparatus comprising a first magazine configured to be capable of carrying a plurality of tools, a first drive part for driving the first magazine, a second magazine configured to be capable of carrying a plurality of tools, a second drive part for driving the second magazine, and a control device for controlling the driving performed by the first drive part and the second drive part. The control device executes: an operation of, on the basis of having accepted a tool loading instruction, causing either the first magazine or the second magazine that is carrying a tool to be loaded to be driven so that the tool to be loaded is loaded from said magazine into the transport apparatus; and an operation of, on the basis of having accepted a tool unloading instruction, causing one of the first magazine and the second magazine to be driven so that a tool to be unloaded is unloaded from the transport apparatus to said magazine.
