Abstract:
The present invention provides a tooth contact adjustment jig which makes it possible to easily adjust the tooth contact between a worm gear and a worm shaft. A tooth contact adjustment jig for adjusting the position of a worm gear relative to a worm shaft in a worm gear device equipped with a main shaft supported by a support base, a worm gear provided to the main shaft, and a worm shaft which meshes with the worm gear, said jig being equipped with a securing member which is secured to the support base and has a facing part which faces the end surface of the main shaft in the axial direction of the main shaft, and an adjustment bolt which moves relative to the facing part and is provided to the facing part, and being configured in a manner such that the main shaft moves in the axial direction relative to the support base as a result of movement of the adjustment bolt toward the main shaft relative to the facing part while the adjustment bolt is in a state of contact with the end surface of the main shaft.
