Abstract:
This toothbrush device is provided with: a detection unit which detects a prescribed physical quantity relating to a tooth brushing action by the user; a guide output unit which outputs a tooth brushing guide for aiding the tooth brushing action by the user; a storage unit which is for storing a physical quantity detected by the detection unit during output of the tooth brushing guide by the guide output unit; and an evaluation unit which evaluates the tooth brushing action by the user. The tooth brushing guide includes a first part which indicates an area to be brushed and a second part which is an indicator of the amount of time tooth brushing should be performed. The evaluation unit evaluates, on the basis of a physical quantity which is stored in the storage unit and which was detected by the detection unit while the second part was being output, the tooth brushing action by the user performed on the area indicated by the first part. The toothbrush device has a mode in which the evaluation unit commences evaluation of the tooth brushing action by the user after detection of a physical quantity by the detection unit has finished.
