Abstract:
A topological rotary engine, comprising a first transmission mechanism, a second transmission mechanism, a gas distribution mechanism, a rotor (13), and a cylinder (9) which are provided in the engine. The rotor (13) is provided in an inner cavity of the cylinder (9); the cross section of the rotor (13) is a curved-side topological n-sided polygon; the cross section of the inner cavity of the cylinder (9) is a curved-side topological (n+1)-sided polygon, wherein n is an even number greater than or equal to 4; an outer topological curved surface of the rotor (13) is engaged with an inner topological curved surface of the cylinder (9); while rotating, the rotor (13) revolves, using an eccentricity Δe as the radius, in an opposite direction around the axis of the cylinder (9), and divides the cylinder (9) into n+1 independent chambers (12); the cylinder (9) is provided with n+1 fuel spray nozzles (10) and n+1 spark plugs (11); the fuel spray nozzles (10), the spark plugs (11), the rotor (13), and the gas distribution mechanism work in conjunction with each other to enable fuel to burn and do work in the chambers (12), and output power to the outside by means of the transmission mechanisms. The topological rotary engine has the advantages of a high horsepower volume ratio, a high compression ratio, stable operation, a wide fuel application range, a simple structure, a small size, a light weight, a low noise, high transmission efficiency, a long service life, etc.
