Abstract:
The present invention relates to the field of power systems, and in particular, to a topology structure for series-connected MMC converters with a small number of modules. The topology structure is composed of a three-phase bridge circuit, half-bridge valve strings, a three-phase filtering inductor and a three-phase power frequency transformer. By means of the topology structure for series-connected MMC converters with a small number of modules designed in the present invention, only two groups of half-bridge valve strings are needed; compared with traditional MMC structures, the number of valve strings is significantly reduced; and under the condition that the same high-voltage direct-current voltage output is realized, the power density of MMC converters can be increased, the stable output of voltages of three-phase alternating-current ports can be realized, and the balance of capacitor voltages of sub-modules in the two groups of half-bridge valve strings can also be realized. Comparing the topology structure designed in the present invention with traditional MMC topology structures, approximately two thirds of sub-modules can be saved on, and the topology structure designed in the present invention has a larger alternating-current and direct-current voltage transmission ratio, thereby facilitating the reduction of costs of MMC converters, reducing the size of an apparatus, and improving power density.
