Abstract:
The present invention relates to a touch screen device having a braille support function and a control method therefor, the touch screen device comprising: a touch screen for sensing a touch location of a user; and a control unit for entering into a first mode or a second mode according to the direction of use of the touch screen, identifying the touch screen as a one dot cell if the control unit enters the first mode, and identifying the touch screen as two dot cells if the control unit enters the second mode, thereby receiving braille according to the touch location of the user. Therefore, six dots of braille can be easily and correctly inputted, and abbreviations and symbols of a 12 dot system can also be inputted on the touch screen.
