Abstract:
A track assembly for an inspection robot system (100), comprising: a track (200), which defines an inspection path; and an uninterrupted drive chain (240) fixedly mounted on the track (200) along an extension trajectory of the track (200). Drive sprockets (440) are driven to run on the track (200) by rolling the drive sprockets (440) in an engaged manner on the drive chain (240). The drive chain (240)-sprocket (440) arrangement has great superiority over conventional pulley-slide rail designs. The regular-shaped closed track (200) can be used in some dusty environments such as mines and undergrounds to avoid the accumulation of dust in track slots and thus affecting the use of the track, and the manufacturing and processing costs of the regular-shaped closed track (200) are also lower while the strength and rigidity can be higher.
