Abstract:
A traffic light recognition method and apparatus, relating to a plurality of cameras, and the fields of view of any two cameras having a covering relationship. The method comprises: obtaining image data acquired by the plurality of cameras (101, 201, 401); determining a target camera according to the image data acquired by the plurality of cameras (102); and using the target camera for traffic light recognition (103, 206, 409). The present invention has the beneficial effect that the image data is acquired by the plurality of cameras to screen out the most appropriate camera for traffic light recognition, so that the condition of traffic light omission caused by viewing angle limitations is avoided, the accuracy and the reliability of traffic light recognition are improved, and the occurrence of traffic accidents can be effectively reduced.
