Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to optimize tethering traffic. A traffic optimization device including: a tethering detection unit for specifying, on the basis of information pertaining to the packet header of a packet flowing in a network to which is connected a communication terminal that provides a tethering service to other devices, tethering traffic caused by the other devices going through the communication terminal; a policy selection unit for selecting a communication policy to apply to the specified tethering traffic; and a traffic optimization unit for applying a process that corresponds to the selected communication policy to the tethering traffic.
