Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a train control system that performs speed control by determining an acceleration start time to enable a train to pass a crossing at an acceptable maximum speed. A train control system according to one mode of the present invention controls a train that travels on a track having a crossing. The train control system comprises: an operation communication unit that receives information on an alarm-activation scheduled time when alarming is scheduled to start at the crossing; and a planning unit that calculates, on the basis of the alarm-activation scheduled time, a scheduled passing time with respect to a crossing scheduled to be passed. The planning unit determines an acceleration start time when the train is to start acceleration, if the current speed and the current location of the train, a remaining time, which is the difference between the current time and the scheduled passing time, and a remaining distance, which is the distance between the current location and the crossing scheduled to be passed, satisfy a predetermined relationship, and instructs the train to decelerate if the predetermined relationship is not satisfied.
