A transaction method using an automatic transaction device for executing a predetermined transaction handling an article by communicating with a host computer. In this method, a mobile communication terminal transmits transaction information necessary for a transaction with an automatic transaction device to a host computer and receives transaction authentication information corresponding to the transaction information generated, stored and transmitted by the host computer, the automatic transaction device receives the transaction authentication information transmitted from the mobile communication terminal, transmits the received transaction authentication information to the host computer, and executes the transaction on the basis of response information corresponding to the transaction authentication information received from the host computer. By doing the processings necessary for a transaction with an automatic transmission device in advance by means of the mobile communication terminal and by transmitting information (transaction authentication information) relating to the preceding processing done in advance, from the mobile communication terminal to the automatic transaction device, information necessary for the transaction does not need not to be inputted again to the automatic transaction device, so that the transaction time can be correspondingly shortened.
