Provided is a transfer apparatus capable of suppressing a shortage of memory resources even when diagnostic requests for a plurality of electronic apparatuses are received from an external diagnostic device. A transfer apparatus 20 receives, from an external diagnostic device 10, a diagnostic request, which is a message from the external diagnostic device 10 to a plurality of ECUs 18, and transfers the diagnostic request to a portion of the plurality of ECUs 18. After the transfer apparatus receives a diagnostic response, which is a message from the ECUs 18 to the external diagnostic device 10, from the portion of the ECUs 18 and transfers the diagnostic response to the external diagnostic device 10, the transfer apparatus 20 transfers the diagnostic request to another ECU 18 that is different from the portion of the ECUs 18.
