Abstract:
According to an embodiment, this transfer device comprises an arm having a rotary fulcrum section, and a grip mechanism that is connected to the rotary fulcrum section and is able to rotate about the rotary fulcrum section. The grip mechanism comprises a first grip section for gripping a first surface of an article to be gripped, and a second grip section for gripping a second surface that crosses the first surface of the article to be gripped. The first grip section includes a first pad having a first grip surface for gripping the first surface, and a first support member for supporting the first pad. The second grip section includes a second pad having a second grip surface for gripping the second surface, and a second support member that supports the second pad, moves the second pad in a direction crossing the second grip surface, and is connected to the rotary fulcrum section together with the first support member.
