Abstract:

This transfer foil is provided with a film-like support and a layered transfer body that has a pair of opposing faces and an adhesive layer. A first face of the pair of opposing faces is in contact with the support in such a manner as to be releasable therefrom, and is provided with the adhesive layer so as to include a second face of the pair of opposing faces, while the adhesive layer is made of a composite material and comprises: a plurality of resin granules composed of a first resin; and a layered matrix that is composed of a second resin and fills gaps between the resin granules. The second resin has a melting point lower than that of the first resin. This transfer foil uses an adhesive layer made of a composite material of two types of incompatible resins having different properties such as melting points and crystallinity, thereby making it possible to maintain resistance to heat and pressure, and to improve precision of an outline shape of a layer to be formed on a transfer receiving body as a result of transfer.
