This transformable robot is capable of switching between a vehicle mode and a humanoid mode. In the vehicle mode, this transformable robot has: front lateral side portions which are located to the sides of a front central portion; a cabin where a seat is disposed; door portions which are located to the sides of the cabin; and a rear upper portion and a rear lower portion which are respectively located above and below the rear of the cabin. In the humanoid mode, the front central portion forms a head portion, the front lateral side portions form a chest portion, the door portions form arm portions, the rear upper portion forms a lumbar portion, and the rear lower portions form left and right leg portions. In both the vehicle mode and the humanoid mode, the surface of the seat of the cabin has the same inclination angle. Thus, this transformable robot is capable of switching between the vehicle mode and the humanoid mode without changing the orientation of the pilot's seat.
