The present invention relates to a transition metal catalyst composition and to a method for preparing polyolefins using the catalyst composition, in which the transition metal catalyst composition is capable of not only exhibiting high reactivity in a polyolefin polymerization but also easily adjusting the characteristics of the polyolefins such as the chemical structure, the molecular weight distribution or mechanical properties.
