Title:
TRANSMISSION DEVICE, TRANSMISSION METHOD, RECEPTION DEVICE, AND RECEPTION METHOD
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2018/221242
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
This technology relates to a transmission device, a transmission method, a reception device, and a reception method that allow good transmission quality to be ensured during data transfer using an LDPC code. An extended LDPC code having parity bits with a parity length M=N+L-K is generated by performing LDPC coding of information bits with an information length K=N×r on the basis of an extended check matrix in which the rows and columns of a check matrix are extended by a puncture length L, said check matrix being for an LDPC code with a code length N of 69120 bits and a code rate r. A punctured LDPC code with a code length N of 69120 bits and a code rate r is generated by puncturing the initial L information bits of the extended LDPC code. The extended check matrix includes an A matrix with M1 rows and K columns, a B matrix with M1 rows and M1 columns, a Z matrix with M1 rows and N+L-K-M1 columns, a C matrix with N+L-K-M1 rows and K+M1 columns, and a D matrix with N+L-K-M1 rows and N+L-K-M1 columns, which are expressed with a prescribed value M1 and the information length K=N×r. This technology can be applied to data transfer using an LDPC code.
