Abstract:
Disclosed is a transmission line, comprising: a conductor; and a combined dielectric layer comprising a first dielectric layer and a second dielectric layer. The first dielectric layer encloses an outer surface of the conductor. The second dielectric layer encloses an outer surface of the first dielectric layer. The first dielectric layer has a first dielectric constant. The second dielectric layer has a second dielectric constant. When the first dielectric constant is greater than the second dielectric constant, an electromagnetic wave is transmitted in the first dielectric layer in the form of a surface wave. Alternatively, when the first dielectric constant is less than the second dielectric constant, an electromagnetic wave is transmitted in the second dielectric layer in the form of a surface wave. Also provided is a communication cable. The transmission line provided in the present invention can suppress coupling crosstalk between adjacent transmission lines and has a broad working bandwidth, thereby increasing the transmission speed.
