Abstract:
A transmission medium and transmission device that exhibit better signal and power transmission characteristics than existing transmission media and transmission devices are fabricated. This transmission medium comprises the following: first and second transmission lines laid out at a separation from each other so as to run parallel to each other; a third transmission line alternately wound around the first and second transmission lines in the long direction thereof; a fourth transmission line alternately wound around the first and second transmission lines, over the third transmission line, in the long direction of the first and second transmission lines; a fifth transmission line alternately wound around the first and second transmission lines in the long direction thereof so as to form intersections with the third and fourth transmission lines in the region between the first and second transmission lines; and a sixth transmission line alternately wound around the first and second transmission lines, over the fifth transmission line, in the long direction of the first and second transmission lines so as to form intersections with the third and fourth transmission lines in the region between the first and second transmission lines. Points (a) at which the third and fourth transmission lines wrap around the first transmission line alternate, in the long direction of the first transmission line, with points (b) at which the fifth and sixth transmission lines wrap around the first transmission line, and points (c) at which the third and fourth transmission lines wrap around the second transmission line alternate, in the long direction of the second transmission line, with points (d) at which the fifth and sixth transmission lines wrap around the second transmission line. The third and fifth transmission lines are connected together at both an input end and an output end, thereby forming a first channel, and the fourth and sixth transmission lines are connected together at both the input end and the output end, thereby forming a second channel. This transmission device is fabricated by winding the abovementioned transmission medium around a magnetic body.
