Abstract:
In a mobile communication system using the conventional 'Upstream Enhancement', the quality of E-DPCCH is satisfied and as small a transmission power offset as possible is used, thereby suppressing the degradation of the radio network capacity caused by E-DPCCH. A transmission power control method, which controls the transmission power of an upstream control channel (E-DPCCH) in a mobile station (UE), comprises a step in which a radio base station (NodeB) measures the reception quality of a control signal received via the upstream control channel (E-DPCCH); a step in which the radio base station (NodeB) notifies a radio network control station (RNC) of the measurement result; a step in which the radio network control station (RNC) decides, based on the measurement result, the transmission power offset of the upstream control channel (E-DPCCH) and notifies the mobile station (UE) of the decided transmission power offset; and a step in which the mobile station (UE) uses the transmission power offset to control the transmission power of the upstream control channel (E-DPCCH).
