Abstract:
Disclosed in the present application is a transmission power control method. The method comprises: an electronic device determining a usage scenario according to a running situation of an application program and/or a calling situation of a peripheral device, and determining a position relationship between the electronic device and a user according to the usage scenario; and then adjusting a transmission power according to the position relationship, wherein when the distance between the user and the electronic device is less than a certain threshold value, the transmission power is less than or equal to the maximum transmission power which complies with an electromagnetic energy absorption specification. In this way, an electronic device can determine different transmission powers according to different usage scenarios such as a call scenario, thereby effectively ensuring that a user is in a safe radiation range during the process of using the electronic device, and improving the communication performance of the electronic device.
