Abstract:
According to one embodiment of the present invention, a transmission system using a sheet is provided with: an electromagnetic wave propagation sheet (10) having a protection layer (14) formed of a dielectric body; a proximity coupler (20) that performs propagation of electromagnetic waves between the electromagnetic wave propagation sheet (10) and the proximity coupler; and a first dielectric body (30), which is provided between the electromagnetic wave propagation sheet (10) and a plane-shaped conductor (22) in the proximity coupler (20), said plane-shaped conductor having a power supply point, and which has a dielectric constant higher than that of the protection layer (14). Consequently, the size of the proximity coupler can be reduced.
