Title:
TRANSMITTER AND FAULT REPORTING METHOD
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2006/075403
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
A transmitter enabling communication of monitoring control data even if the output is forcedly cut off in case of a fault occurrence and a fault report is sent and capable of avoiding unnecessary connection detection or an erroneous operation of forced cut-off even if double faults occur and a highly reliable fault reporting method are provided. The invention is applied to a communication system having a constitution where two transmitters are so provided at an interval on two transmission channels laid between two communication devices. Links are transmission channels directly connected to the communication devices, and lines are transmission channels connected to opposed transmitters. A monitoring control section of each transmitter creates link and line state information from fault detection information sent from receiving section (13, 14) and sends it to the respective opposed transmitters. When the state information sent from the opposed transmitter is inputted to the receiving section (13), a transmitting section (14) is made to perform a control to forcedly cut of the transmission signal. If a transmission channel fault occurs, a report to a communication device can be sent while maintaining the communication between the transmitters.
