Abstract:
A transparent display apparatus and a preparation method therefor. The transparent display apparatus comprises a display panel (100) and a total-internal-reflection photonic crystal back board (200). The display panel (100) has a display side and a light incidence side opposite the display side. The total-internal-reflection photonic crystal back board (200) is located at the light incidence side of the display panel (100). The total-internal-reflection photonic crystal back board (200) comprises a substrate (201) and a plurality of columnar structures periodically arranged inside the substrate (201), the columnar structures having a light refractive index different from that of the substrate (201). The total-internal-reflection photonic crystal back board can transform light incident onto a display panel from different directions into vertically incident light.
