Abstract:
The present invention relates to a transparent display having a variable light-shielding panel which may increase visibility by increasing ACR even in a bright room environment, and an image display device including same. The present invention may provide an image display device comprising: a transparent display including a transparent display panel and a variable light-shielding panel which overlaps one lateral surface of the transparent display panel; and a controller for performing control so that a portion of the variable light-shielding panel, which corresponds to a position of a video content being displayed in the transparent display panel, is in a light-shielding mode and the remaining portion is in a transparent mode.
