Abstract:
The present application relates to the technical field of optical communications, in particular to a transparent optical fiber cable. The transparent optical fiber cable comprises an outer sheath (1), optical fibers (2), reinforcing members (3) and a hot melt adhesive layer (4), wherein the optical fibers (2) are embedded in the outer sheath (1). The reinforcing members (3) are embedded in the outer sheath (1), and are located around the optical fibers (2). The hot melt adhesive layer (4) is coated around the outer sheath (1). The outer sheath (1) and the hot melt adhesive layer (4) are each separately made of a transparent and anti-yellowing material. The reinforcing members (3), as a support structure, serve to support the outer sheath (1); the optical fibers can be prevented from being damaged even if the reinforcing members are rolled by a heavy object; in addition, the reinforcing members (3) can increase the tensile and bending strengths of the entire optical fiber cable. The hot melt adhesive layer (4) is coated around the outer sheath (1), and construction personnel can complete laying by means of controlling a traction heating tool during construction, such that the operation difficulty of construction is greatly reduced. The outer sheath (1) and the hot melt adhesive layer (4) are each separately made of a transparent and anti-yellowing material, such that the problem that current transparent optical fiber cables are prone to yellowing during a long-term use process can be effectively solved, and the reliability of long-term use of the transparent optical fiber cable is improved.
