Abstract:
This travel control device 10 assists in the autonomous travel of a vehicle by controlling a target vehicle speed, which is the target for actual vehicle speed that is the speed of the vehicle, when moving the vehicle to a destination. This travel control device 10 comprises a setting unit 12 that performs setting processing for setting changes in the target vehicle speed to the destination on the basis of the actual vehicle speed and the destination. If a request for changing the vehicle speed of the vehicle occurs during the execution of autonomous travel and the actual vehicle speed is changed on the basis of the request, the setting unit 12 performs resetting processing for resetting the changes in the target vehicle speed on the basis of the actual vehicle speed when the request is canceled and the remaining distance from the position of the vehicle to the destination when the request is canceled.
