Abstract:
Provided are: a traveling truck which can be moved upward/downward while maintaining an appropriate orientation according to respective usages of machines and tools mounted to the traveling truck; and a upward/downward movement method. A traveling truck 1 comprises: a frame member 3 that surrounds a traveling target B; a plurality of rolling members 5 mounted to the frame member 3 so as to be rollable on the traveling target B; a drive means 7 that drives at least one of the plurality of rolling members 5; an angle detection means 9 that detects the horizontality of the frame member 3; and a control means 11 that controls the angle of the frame member 3 with respect to the traveling target B by driving at least one of the plurality of rolling members 5 through the traveling means 7 on the basis of angle information obtained by the angle detection means 9. By using the traveling truck 1, it is possible to perform the upward/downward movement while the appropriate orientation is maintained.
