Abstract:
The present invention provides: a rubber composition for studless winter tires, which is capable of improving the on-ice performance and the wear resistance in a balanced manner regardless of temperature; and a studless winter tire which uses this rubber composition for studless winter tires.
The present invention relates to a tread rubber composition for studless winter tires, which contains an isoprene rubber, a butadiene rubber, water-soluble fine particles, fine silica particles having a nitrogen adsorption specific surface area of 180 m2/g or more, and a liquid plasticizer, and which is configured such that the content of the fine silica particles is 105 parts by mass or more and the content of the liquid plasticizer is more than 30 parts by mass relative to 100 parts by mass of the rubber component.
