Abstract:
The present invention includes a contactless capacitive sensor so as to detect the traveling speed of a user and control a belt transport speed according said traveling speed, and can thus improve user convenience and safety by driving a transport speed belt which is suitable for the traveling conditions of the user. Also, a change in the traveling speed of the user for each position of the user is determined and the acceleration of the belt is controlled such that user convenience and safety can be improved through automatic control of the belt transport speed during exercise by the user. Since the user does not exercise according to the speed of the belt but the speed of the belt can be controlled according to the speed of the user, the user can enjoy exercising freely while controlling the speed on the treadmill as if on a track. Also, if the walking speed or the traveling speed of the user suddenly decreases, the speed of the belt can be automatically decreased, and thus an accident such as the user tripping or falling from the belt can be prevented.
