Abstract:
The present invention relates to a treadmill and a method for managing the treadmill, wherein the treadmill comprises: a main body having a frame of a rectangular shape provided on a lower portion thereof and a control panel on an upper front portion thereof; a driving roller and a driven roller which are provided in the frame to be separately arranged on front and rear portions; a driving unit connected to a motor arranged in the front portion of the frame and the driving roller via a chain to generate rotational power; a deck board which is formed between the driving roller and the driven roller and is coupled to the frame; a walking belt coupled to the deck board to surround upper and lower surfaces of the deck board and coupled to the driving roller and the driven roller; a tension adjusting portion for maintaining or increasing an adhesion degree among the driving roller, the driven roller, and the walking belt by constantly pushing the driven roller backward using an elastic member in an apparatus in which the driven roller is located; a sensing unit sensing slipping and replacement timing of the walking belt; a correction portion for automatically correcting slipping of the walking belt; a control unit which determines whether the walking belt needs to be corrected by receiving information from the sensing unit, when correction is necessary, performs correction and generates a signal on the basis of a result value of the correction, and when correction is not necessary, generates a signal on the basis of the information transmitted from the sensing unit; and a signal generation unit for displaying, on the treadmill, the signals generated by the control unit and transmitting the signals to users concerned at remote places.
