Abstract:
Provided are treatment system and treatment method for a silica-containing water, which are capable of efficiently treating a silica-containing water. A treatment system 1 for a silica-containing water, which is provided with: a magnesium melting tank 10 in which a magnesium salt and an acid are mixed and reacted with each other at a pH of 7 or less, thereby preparing a magnesium-containing liquid; and a magnesium reaction tank 12 in which a mixed liquid that is obtained by mixing a silica-containing water and the magnesium-containing liquid with each other is reacted at a pH within the range of 10-12.
