Abstract:
A kind of tree bast fibre and its processing method are disclosed. The fibre is a natural spinning fibre made of bark from the trees except mulberry and paper mulberry with its length of 5 mm - 65 mm, the fineness of 0.3 - 2.5D, the strength of 0.284 - 0.432 N/tex and the extensibility at break of 3% - 7%. The processing method is as follows: peeling - sorting - degumming - skimming - drying - preserving- tanning - grinding - combing - baking - boxing and classifying - baling. The invention provides a kind of basic textile fibre for textile industry. The raw materials of said fibre, tree basts, are cheap and widely found. Said fibre has the similar performance of jute fibre, stronger strength than that of cotton fibre and good dyeing ability with wide use prospect, and can be co-spinned with other natural fibres, staple fibre or regenerated fibre into fibre yarns.
