Abstract:
A trunk immobilization system (1) is provided with: a rectangular base plate (3) overlaid onto a top plate (2) such as a treatment table; body posture immobilization tools (5, 6, 7) for immobilizing, in a predetermined body posture, a person who has been placed on the base plate (3); and an index bar (8) that is used in order to position each of the body posture immobilization tools (5, 6, 7) to a predetermined site in the length direction (Y) of the base plate (3) and attach the body posture immobilization tools (5, 6, 7) to the base plate (3). The base plate (3) can be separated in the length direction (Y) into an upper body base plate (9) and a lower body base plate (10). The invention makes it possible to implement a trunk immobilization system that is convenient for immobilizing a patient in a variety of forms of immobilization, on a treatment table or the like.
