Abstract:
Disclosed are a trunked communication-based multicast service execution method, and a related apparatus. The method comprises: establishing a public multicast channel at a network side in advance; during execution of a multicast service, sending multicast data to UE units in a current multicast group via the public multicast channel, and establishing a dedicated multicast channel; and after the dedicated multicast channel has been established, notifying the UE units in the current multicast group of activation information of the dedicated multicast channel, and sending multicast data to the UE units in the current multicast group via the dedicated multicast channel. According to the method, the public multicast channel available for all types of multicast services is established in advance, the public multicast channel is used to transmit multicast data during an initial stage of a multicast service, the dedicated multicast channel dedicated to the multicast service is established in real-time, and then transmission of multicast data migrates to the dedicated multicast channel after the establishment. In this way, the invention does not occupy excessive air interface resources while ensuring timeliness of multicast services.
