Abstract:
Turbo machinery high in efficiency and capable of providing a wide and stable operating range by suppressing the swing component of the fluid on the low pressure side of an impeller, comprising the impeller having a shroud and a sucking pipe or a draft pipe (2) as a sucking pipe installed on the low pressure side (41) of the impeller (1), wherein a plurality of grooves in the direction of rotating axis of the impeller are provided circumferentially in the internal surface of the draft pipe, and the grooves are formed in a shallow shape, for example, of 1 to 20 mm in depth and the spaces in the grooves are made intangible, whereby the swing component can be suppressed.
