Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a turnbuckle and a wire tensioning device that can easily and accurately perform wire tensioning work. [Solution] One embodiment of the present invention provides a turnbuckle to be used to apply tension to a wire rod. This turnbuckle comprises an outer cylindrical unit, an inner cylindrical unit, an operation unit, a drive unit, and a position detection unit. The inner cylindrical unit is inserted into the outer cylindrical unit from one end section of the axial direction. The operation unit comprises: a threaded shaft that is inserted through the outer cylindrical unit and the inner cylindrical unit; and a nut that is fixed to an opposite end section of the axial direction of the inner cylindrical unit and is threadably mounted on the threaded shaft. The drive unit is configured so as to move the nut along the threaded shaft by causing the threaded shaft to rotate around the shaft axis thereof. The position detection unit comprises at least one sensor that is disposed on the outer peripheral side of the outer cylindrical unit and detects the position of the nut.
