In a two-dimensional code 100, a plurality of lines L, in which a plurality of cells for indicating a plurality of bits are disposed in series in a first direction (Y direction), are disposed at an interval S in a second direction (X direction) orthogonal to the first direction. Each of the plurality of cells is any one among a first data cell 101 that indicates a first value among two values indicated by the bits and a second data cell 102 that indicates a second value among the two values indicated by the bits, wherein the first data cell has a first concentration area 103 that indicates a first value at a first position in the second direction, the second data cell has a second concentration area 104 that indicates a second value at the first position and a third concentration area 105 adjacent to the second concentration area in the second direction, and a concentration difference between the first concentration area and the second concentration area is greater than a concentration difference between the first concentration area and the third concentration area.
