Abstract:
This invention provides a two piece can, which has satisfactory can body strength
and excellent corrosion resistance, and a molding method which can easily produce
the two piece can without causing cracking. The two piece can is formed of a laminated
steel plate as a material and comprises a closed-end cylindrical can body part.
The can body part on its opening side has been subjected to diameter reduction
working to a diameter smaller than the diameter of the can body and satisfies the
following formulae (1) and (2). On the can body part in its opening side, a bead
part having an opening front end part curled in a sectionally arc form or a sectionally
longitudinal elliptical form toward the outer side of the can and a foremost front
end part having a further curled sectional form, and upper and lower bead parts
are provided. 1.5 ≤ h/(R-r)···(1) d/R ≤ 0.25···(2)
wherein h: height from can bottom to front end part of opening, R: radius of circular
blank position, r: radius of bottom part, and d: radius of front end part of opening.
